NEWS -- Spring & Summer 2001(all items in reverse chronological order)
Friday, July 13, 2001 The brick walkway is ALMOST DONE! Russ DiCicco of Native Landscape Design (Lincoln) is setting our brick walkway with the engraved bricks that have been so anticipated. You'll have to go down this weekend and hunt for yours! Also this week, new fencing went in. In a few more days we'll have gates on the openings to keep toddlers in. We're adding a gate at the main entrance, and another gate in the new section of fence at the back.
WAYLAND, MA, Monday, May 21, 2001 The playground is closed this week (if the weather holds out) to allow our crew time to seal the wood. PLEASE --- do NOT use the play structure until the sealant cures! Thank you for your help.
WAYLAND, MA, Thursday, May 10, 2001 Great Scott! We're havin' fun now! Well, we're nearly there.... the big, big thing left to do is seal the wood to protect it.... and that's going to happen soon... NOTICE: HANNAH WILLIAMS PLAYGROUND, Saturday, MAY 5, 2001 -- And the band, begins to play, bum ba, ba, bum, ba, bum, ba, bum..... .... ahh, those oldies... hey "Daddio" did ya like it? Yes.... those are real, live, Wayland Daddio's... at least most of the five had kiddos who enjoy the playground. They all donated their time to entertain (quite professionally, we might add...) at the Community Day festivities. (Photos by Steve Robb) Huge crowds gathered at the park and playground to enjoy the beautiful day. We only hope that we'll have more festivities and lots and lots of great fun at the playground. See "Special Thanks" below.
The
Daddio's (from left): Dave D'Orlando, rhythm guitar, vocals; Matt Shear,
lead guitar, vocals; Dan White, drums; Peter Lavenson, acoustic guitar,
vocals; Wayne Gagnebin, bass guitar, vocals; and (absent last weekend)
Mike Priscella, guitar, percussion, vocals.
Special
Thanks to.... (there are always more people to thank than we recall ....
